A cloud provider network joins data centres, internal backbone links, edge locations, and externally advertised address space under common technical control. The constituent machines may change constantly, yet the network remains recognizable because its routing policy and external interfaces remain comparatively stable.
It handles information flow by moving computation and data internally while presenting controlled points of interaction externally. This allows many changing services to exist without continually changing the cloud network’s own boundary.
